WHAT WE BELIEVE

  • OLD & NEW TESTAMENTS ARE VERBALLY INSPIRED BY GOD and inerrant in the original writing and body, they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life  (II Peter 1:20-21; II Tim. 3:16, 17)
  • ONE GOD, EXISTING IN THREE PERSONS: FATHER, SON & HOLY SPIRIT (John 1:1, 14; 14:26; Rom. 1:17; Col 1:13, 15; Acts 5:3-4)
  • JESUS CHRIST WAS BEGOTTEN BY THE HOLY SPIRIT AND BORN OF MARY, A VIRGIN, AND IS TRUE GOD AND TRUE MAN (Matt. 1:20-23; John 8:57-58; Col. 2:9, John 1:14; Heb. 2:16-18)
  • MAN WAS CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD, THAT HE SINNED AND THEREBY INCURRED NOT ONLY PHYSICAL DEATH BUT ALSO THAT SPIRITUAL DEATH WHICH IS SEPARATION FROM GOD, that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and are sinners in thought, word and deed (Gen. 1:26-27; 2:16-17; 3:6; Rom. 6:23; Eph. 2:1; Rom. 5:12; Rom. 3:23)
  • THE LORD JESUS DIED FOR OUR SINS ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES AS A REPRESENTATIVE AND SUBSTITUTIONARY SACRIFICE, AND THAT ALL WHO BELIEVE IN HIM ARE JUSTIFIED ON THE GROUND OF HIS SHED BLOOD (1 Cor. 15:3, 4; Isah. 53:4-6; Rom. 3:24-25)
  • · “ETERNAL SECURITY” OF THE BELIEVER, THAT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ONE BORN INTO THE FAMILY OF GOD EVER TO BE LOST (John 10:27-29; Eph. 1:13; 4:30; I Tim. 1:12; John 5:11-12)
  • THE RESURRECTION OF THE CRUCIFIED BODY OF OUR LORD, IN HIS ASCENSION INTO HEAVEN, AND IN HIS PRESENT LIFE THERE AS HIGH PRIEST AND ADVOCATE (Luke 24:15, 24:39-42; John 20:11-16, 20:26-28; Acts 1:9; Heb. 7:25, 10:12)
  • THE “BLESSED HOPE”, the personal premillennial, pretribulational and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, when the church will be “gathered together unto Him” (John 14:3; Acts 1:11; 1 Cor. 15:51-53; 1 Thes. 4:13-18; Matt. 24:42-44)
  • · THE LITERAL FULFILLMENT OF THE PROPHECIES AND PROMISES OF THE SCRIPTURES which foretell and assure the future regeneration and restoration of Israel as a nation (Ezek. 36:26-27; 37:11-14; Rom. 11:25-26)
  •  ALL WHO RECEIVE BY FAITH THE LORD JESUS CHRIST ARE BORN AGAIN OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THEREBY BECOME CHILDREN OF GOD (John 1:12, 3:5-8; Rom. 8:9-11; 1 Cor. 3:16)
  • THE BODILY RESURRECTION OF THE JUST AND THE UNJUST, THE EVERLASTING BLESSEDNESS OF THE SAVED, AND THE EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT OF THE LOST (1 Cor. 15:51-57; 1 Thes. 4:13-18; John 5:28-29; Rom. 8:23; Rev. 19:4-6, 20:11-15; II Thes. 1:8-9; Matt. 25:41)
  • THE SCRIPTURAL ORDINANCES OF THE CHURCH ARE BAPTISM AND THE LORD’S SUPPER, AND ARE TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE LOCAL CHURCH; THAT BAPTISM, BY IMMERSION, SHOULD BE ADMINISTERED TO BELIEVERS ONLY AS A SYMBOL OF THEIR BELIEF IN THE DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST (Matt. 4:13-17; Acts 8:36-37, 19:4-5; Col. 2:12-13)
